Claire E. Wright ORANGE- Claire E. "Claire Bear" Wright, 58, of 856 North Main Street, died on Saturday evening, March 12, 2011 at the Legend Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Gardner following an illness. Born on July 10, 1952 in Hyattstown, Maryland, she was a daughter of Rush Lee and Marguerite (Albright) Wright and grew up in Maryland. Claire attended Parochial school, following her Roman Catholic upbringing. She had fond memories of farm life as a child and passed her love of nature along to her children. A strong, vibrant and resilient woman, Claire was a devoted mother and cared about family. She had been a resident of Orange since 2005. Claire was a resident at Legend for the past year and made many friends there. The family is grateful for the care and kindness given to Claire during her stay. Even when Claire was in extreme pain, she held onto her beaming smile for all. Survivors include her children, Adam Wright and his wife, Amy Ruck, of Hagerstown, MD, Marguerite LaCroix and her husband, David, of Orange, MA, and Emily Wright Briscoe and her husband, Shane, of Athol, MA; a granddaughter, Caroline Elizabeth; siblings, Ann Cole of Burlington, WV, Nancy Higgins of Shade Gap, PA, Rush L. Wright of Keyser, WV, Joseph Wright of Accident, MD, Stephen Wright of Boonsboro, MD, and Christina Wright of Salem, OR. Claire was predeceased by her beloved brother, David Wright, of Berkley Springs, WV. There are no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held a the Legend Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 59 Eastwood Circle (behind Wendy's on Pearson Blvd.), Gardner, MA at a date and time to be announced. Interment will be in Beallsville, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Activities Fund, c/o Legend Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 59 Eastwood Circle, Gardner, MA 01440.
