Clara Bernice, "Bea," Ringquist, 100, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017, at Parkview Memorial Hospital. Born on December, 22, 1916, in Woodford, Wisconsin, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Clara (Jackson) Poff. After graduating from Monroe High School, she worked as a telephone operator in Madison, Wisconsin, and in 1941 married Russell Ringquist. Together they lived in Wisconsin, Florida, and Georgia, building many close, lifelong friendships. Bea moved to Fort Wayne in 2005, living at Georgetowne Place for ten years and Saint Anne Communities Randallia Place for the past two years. An avid reader and bridge player, Bea was skilled at crafts and she loved dogs. Most precious to her were her family and friends. She is survived by her brother, Daniel Ray (Delores, deceased) Poff of Cairo, GA; step-daughter Joyce Jones of Marion, IA; nephew Richard (Yvonne) Ramsey of Fort Wayne; nephews Ron (Phila) Poff of Madison, WI, Doug Poff of West Palm Beach, FL, and Donald (Kim) Poff of Colquitt, GA, Wayne (Marty) Ringquist and Robert Ringquist, both of Madison, WI, Larry, Randy and Gary Ringquist, all of Janesville, WI, Richard (Brenda) Moen and Dennis Johnson, both of Stoughton, WI; nieces Doris (Bill) Albaugh of Tallahassee, FL, Debbie (Mike) Huguelet of Alpharetta, GA, Dawn (Steve, deceased) Weinkrantz of Port St. Lucie, FL, Diane (Mike) Martin of Vero Beach, FL, Joen Carpentier of Blackstone, MA, and Mary Lou Ringquist, of Madison, WI; step-grandchildren Jeffrey (Shari) Jones of Round Rock, TX, and Traci (Steve) Rezabek of Cedar Rapids, IA, four great step-grandchildren, two great-great step-grandchildren, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Ringquist, brothers Burton, Bernard, and Delbert Poff, sisters Mildred Johnson and Eva Ramsey, and nephew David (Judy) Poff. Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, at St. Anne Communities Randallia Place, 1900 Randallia Dr., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Memorials may be made to First Wayne Street United Methodist Church, Parkview Home Health and Hospice, or Saint Anne Communities Randallia Place.
