Clara Frances McNett was born in Circle, McCone County, Montana on December 1, 1926. Clara was one of eight children, born in their farm home on the prairie, to Alonzo "Lon" and Theresa Brennan McNett where the family homesteaded and raised sheep until they moved to Camas, Washington in 1936. Clara worked her way through school at Providence Academy in Vancouver where she graduated from high school. Clara met Frank "Don" Komar and they were married January 19, 1945. Bend became the families beloved home for the next 56 years. The family has grown to 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She became "GG" to her special little angels as she referred to them. So proud and so loving to each new precious life. Like Dad, Mom was a "jack of all trades". Her most loved occupation was wife, mother, and homemaker, but always worked outside of the home. By Don's side, she road motorcycles, hunted in Mexico, fished in Canada, and helped build and maintain the many businesses they owned. She worked hands-on in the Service Stations, Komar Heating and Appliance business, home building in the Bend area, Patterson Travel Living RV Sales, carpet laying, carpentry, painting and landscaping as well as management, inventory, payroll, and bookkeeping. She enjoyed her later years as a Nanny to wonderful families in the Portland and Bend communities. She not only loved caring for and nurturing children, but became part of the family. She found enjoyment in gardening, sewing, reading, and following her grandchildren’s sports. She found comfort in touching little ones hearts and giving love and support to her daughters and grandchildren. Mom loved her Roman Catholic Faith. She worked to fund education for woman as a member of P E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter DE and The Bend Women’s Breakfast Club. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three bothers and two sisters. She is survived by her brother John McNett, King City, California her sister Mary Mason of Camas, Washington, numerous nieces and nephews, five daughters, Bonnie Wilkins, Patricia Hutton, Sally Ward, Lauraine Wilde of Bend, Oregon, Linda Kitchen, Lake Oswego, Oregon and her many Grandchildren. Mom rested peacefully as she began her new "Life" on May 7, 2017. We will greatly miss her and cherish her memory. Love you Mom.
