Claralee Showers Black, age 77, of Bloomington died Saturday morning at the I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospice House. Born June 2, 1940 in North Vernon, Indiana, the daughter of Joseph and Bernice (May) Showers. Claralee was the owner and operator of the Wig-Wam Boutique. She was a member of the Eastern Star in North Vernon and the Bloomington Elk's Lodge Ladies Auxiliary. She loved playing slot machines, working in her wig shop and helping cancer patients and their families
Claralee is survived by her sister, Marlene Stoner, of North Vernon and three nieces, Marshalene (Dean) Evans, of North Vernon and Melissa(Brian) Stoner and Marketa Seville, both of Indianapolis; two great-nieces, Kristina (Ben) Fitzgerald and Marisa Seville and three great-nephews, Riley Johnson, Zackery Seville and Joshua Seville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert Tim Black.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Garland Brook Cemetery Chapel in Columbus. Entombment will follow the service. Friends may visit the family at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. in Bloomington on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
