Clark E. Lewallen, 64, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday. Mr. Lewallen was preceded in death by his Mother, Amy Noe Lewallen; Stepmothers, Shirley Lewallen and Althea Lewallen; and his nephew, Brian Douglas Hengel.

Left to cherish his memory is his father, Lincoln Lewallen; sister, Wanda Hengel (Jack); niece, Jennifer Hood (Phillip), all of Huntsville, AL; his nephew, John Hengel of Prattville, AL; and many relatives and friends from Tennessee and his native North Carolina.

Clark was born in New Bern, NC, and graduated from Havelock High School in Havelock, NC. He joined the Air Force shortly after graduation and obtained certification through their apprentice school as an Electronic Measurement Equipment Mechanic. Clark worked for over 20 years with the Federal Government in this capacity, repairing and calibrating military electronics and hardware in Cherry Point, NC, Saudi Arabia, and El Paso, TX.

Clark moved to Huntsville, AL in 1999 to assist in the care of his elderly parents, and continued in this capacity until his death. During this time he also worked in private industry for several government contractors, before finally retiring in 2012.

Clark was a devoted and loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a jack of all trades, generous with his time and talents, and could always be called upon to help assist a friend in need. He loved to travel, play the guitar, and water ski. Mr. Lewallen was also a member of St. John’s Masonic Lodge in New Bern, NC. Clark Lewallen was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him!

The family is planning a private memorial service celebrating and honoring Clark’s life at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Grace Lutheran Church in Huntsville, AL or to a charity of choice. Please sign his guest registry at
