Clay Bernard Maglone, Jr., 91, of Slaughter, LA, went to be with his Lord on Jan. 13, 2018. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. He worked as a dairy farmer from a very young age. He served on the East Feliciana Police Jury for many years and was Constable for 26 years. Life long member of the Slaughter United Methodist Church. He was affectionately known by all who knew him as "Paw-Paw Nard". He was a loving and devoted family man, who will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at Slaughter United Methodist Church, Slaughter, LA on Tuesday, Jan. 16, from 8 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Pallbearers will be Joel, Logan, Randy, Derrick, and Lance Maglone, and Glen Roush. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Ory, H.K. Simmons, Blake Wilson, Ken Cornelius, Brady Maglone, John Roush, and John Hutton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine McCoy Maglone of 70 years; his parents, Clay Sr. and Jeannette Rice Maglone; brothers, Albert Cathcart "A.C." Maglone, Gordon Rice Maglone, Thomas Daniel Maglone,Todd Yancy Maglone, Willie Estelle Maglone McNabb; daughter, Peggy Elizabeth "Betsy" Maglone; granddaughter, Adabelle LeJeune; and great grandson, Dylan Clay Bissett. He is survived by his son, Clay Bernard Maglone, III; daughter, Rebecca Maglone LeJeune; grandson, Noah Bernard Maglone and wife, Katie; granddaughters, Carly Ettace Bissett, Marsha Pharaby Hutton and husband, John; and Candice Lejeune Roberts; great-grandchildren, Philip, Shelby, Bayleigh, and Ava Roberts, Sara and Mason Bissett; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Slaughter UMC Building Fund.
