Clayton Lee Britton, 46, passed away peacefully at his home on December 28, 2017, after a courageous 6 year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). He was born on September 7, 1971 in San Mateo, California. Clay was loved and surrounded by his family and friends, but it was his firm belief in his Lord and Savior that supported him and ultimately gave him peace.



Clay is survived by his family: Mother, Linda Lea Britton, Orlando, FL; Father, Craig Lee Britton, Porterville, CA ; Sister, Bryn Britton; Brother, Zack Britton; Aunts, Ramie Browning, Risa Quiles and Joanna Britton; Uncles, Robert Britton, Jeff Browning and Henry Quiles; Nephew, Stone Britton; Cousins, Eli Rolfe, Michael Bissen, Marina Anderson, Chris Britton, TJ Britton, Bailey Britton, Brice Browning, Henry Quiles and Kadie Quiles. A special thank you to Marie Gaspard for her caregiving and love for Clay during the last 2 years of his illness.



Preceded in death are Paternal Grandparents, Thomas Craig Britton and Patricia Estelle Prentiss Britton; Maternal Grandparents, Frank Wilson Shipman and Mildred Ruth Shipman; Aunt & Uncle, David and Kellie Shipley and Uncle, Dan Shipman.



Clay was an avid outdoorsman, participating in marathons, mud runs, kayaking, cycling, and camping. He loved his Irish heritage, gatherings with family and many many friends. He was a man of few words, but a huge heart of gold. Clay worked at Xerographic Digital Printing, as Production Manager for nearly 30 years. His work family was among the people he cherished most.



A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday, January 13, 2018, at First Baptist of Orlando, Henry Chapel, with Pastor David Uth officiating, 3000 South John Young Parkway, Orlando, Florida 32805. A Celebration of Clayton’s Life reception will follow at Marriott Airport Lakeside, Vista Ballroom from 5:00 to 7:00 PM
