Cletus was born on April 25, 1932 and passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019.

Cletus was a resident of Alton, Illinois at the time of passing.

As a child, Cletus attended one room school houses Sherfy and Ingersoll in Foster township through eighth grade.

Cletus served in the Navy as a structural aviation mechanic aboard aircraft carriers, mainly the USS Kersarge, as a part of the Pacific Fleet during the Korean Conflict.

Cletus married Marcella McCauley in 1960 in a service officiated by Rev. Roy Carlson at Fosterburg Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton on Friday October 11th from 4-7pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday the 12th at 10 am, followed by a private graveside service at Fosterburg cemetery with military honors by Alton VFW Post 1308 officiating.
