Clifford Edward Kjelsrud, born November 5th, 1943 in Bismarck ND passed from this life January 20th 2018 in Silvercreek Nursing Home Mesa, AZ.

Cliff started school, being taught by his mother in a one-room schoolhouse in Buffalo, SD and later graduated High School there. He started working in construction when he was 18 and loved and continued that trade throughout his life. He quickly became a foreman, then project supervisor on several Interstate Highway construction projects.

Cliff and Patsy, along with Cliffs' sister Carol Haivala started their own construction business in Spearfish, SD, Lookout Landscaping which later became Lookout Grading. He built and maintained numerous miles of logging roads in Wyoming and South Dakota, and completed several sections of Rails to Trails. Cliff was always happiest on a piece of equipment working in the dirt. He loved mentoring the young people in his life, his girls, and nephews and nieces. He was a hard worker, a good neighbor, and a trusted friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar Martin Kjelsrud and Hilda Ann Hanson Kjelsrud and his sister Carol Haivala.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Patsy Eppler Kjelsrud of Gold Canyon, AZ, two daughters Deanna Bounds of Midland, MI, Kimberly Anne Huether and her husband Zane, two grandchildren, Caitlin and Trevor Bounds of Midland, MI, nephew Robert Haivala and wife Debbie of Sturgis, SD, niece Patricia Yandzick of Spearfish, SD, niece Barbara Haivala of Spearfish, SD, Nephew Harley Eppler and wife Jessica of Vancouver, WA, niece Devin Gines and husband Lonnie of Queen Creek, AZ, and many other nieces and nephews.

Interment will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 S 1st Ave, Yuma, AZ 85364 on Friday, January 26th at 2:00 PM.
