Larison, Clifton “Clif”, 64 of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Friday October 6, 2017 at his home in Wichita. Clif was born the son of Archie and Shirley Larison on October 8, 1952 in Emporia, Kansas. Clif and Vickie were united in marriage on March 12, 1975 in Clay Center, Kansas. Together they celebrated 42 years of marriage. Clif was commissioned in the Air Force in 1974 and started his career in aviation. Clif loved being a pilot, which lead to earning his Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering as well as his two other degrees. His passion for flying lead to the start of VJETS, a family owned business, which continued to grow through the years. Clif was a scholar, an innovator and an entrepreneur. He shared his passion for flying by teaching classes at Wichita State University and shared his heart by flying sick children to the Shriners Hospital in St. Louis. Clif worked tirelessly in the community raising money for the Midian Shrine as well as the Boy Scouts of America. Clif loved nature and was both a hunter and an avid Boy Scout, having earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a Boy Scout commissioner for over 20 years and served on the board of the Quivira Council for numerous years alongside his father. Clif was also very invested in his children; coaching softball for 14 years, shaping the lives of countless young women both on and off the field. Clif lived for his family and friends. He was the dad who was always in the stand of every band concert, cheerleading practice and pageant. There was nothing he would not do for his girls, their friends, or his beloved Boy Scouts. He touched countless lives and always had time to help those in need. His mother, Shirley Larison, preceded Clif in death. Clif is survived by wife of 42 years Vickie, his father Archie Larison, his brother Ron Larison and two daughters Nichole Larison-Sammon (Jeff) and Heidi Rose-Larison (Charlie) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday October 9, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Celebration of Life will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday October 10, 2017 both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th S. N., Wichita. Private family burial will follow. Memorial donations can be made to the Quivira Council of Boy Scouts, 3247 N.
