The Obituary On Sunday February 15, 2015 the precious soul of Conard William "Billy" Blackwell Jr. took his place with the Lord. The son of Dorothy Blackwell and the late Conard William Blackwell Sr., was born on June 1, 1959 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Conard was educated in the Philadelphia School System, where he completed the 11th grade with intentions on receiving his diploma at a later time. At the time of his death, "Billy", the name which he was known by his family and friends was self employed, doing what he did best - which was helping anyone he came in contact with. Throughout his life, he held many positions that ranged from general labor, food distribution, carpentry, painting, and hauling. Some would say he was the jack of all trades, there was no job too big or too small for Billy. In July 2009, Billy made the best decision of his life. He chose to accept the Lord, Jesus Christ as his personal savior. His past was erased and he was given a clean slate. He was baptized at his home Church, 10th Street Baptist, located in Camden, New Jersey, where he was a faithful member. Billy was a "free spirit" person. He was loving and kind. He took great pride in his appearance, making sure he was always pleasing to the eye. Billy was well loved and respected by many. He was a helping hand to anyone in need. He was known for his gift to gab and was always the life of the party. He could put a smile on your face just by the words that came from his mouth. To carry on his legacy, Billy leaves: three children, son, Doron Howard; two daughters, Lakeya Freeman and Nafisa Channer; two granddaughters, Tristyn and Taylor Howard; grandson, Rahmir Presbery; his devoted mother, Dorothy Blackwell; lifetime partner, Wynetta Channer; sister, Angia B.
