Cristina Ochoa Piña, age 51, of Austin, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Robert Piña of Austin, Texas.

She was born in Carrizo Springs, Texas on April 25, 1966, and was the daughter of the late Juan and Gloria Ochoa. She grew up in San Antonio, Texas, graduated with a Master's degree from Texas State University, and was united in marriage to Robert Piña on September 14, 1991. They moved to Austin Texas in 1992. She worked at Emerson for the last 10 years. She was a devoted and loving mother of two sons, Joshua and Ivan Piña. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family, reading, and playing Bunco with her friends.

She is survived by her husband Robert Piña, her two children Joshua and Ivan Piña, three sisters, Sylvia Alcala, Gloria Jimenez and Margarita Yruegas, nephews Arthur, Frank and Adam Jimenez and nieces Adriana Alcala and Maya Yliana Yruegas.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M.
