Daniel M. Roznowski Born 2/16/35 at St. Vincent's Hospital, Green Bay, WI. Went to the Lord on October 14, 2016 at the age of 81 years. Loving husband and best friend of Helen Claire (nee Jacquart) Roznowski. Cherished Father of Julie (Philip) Olson, Mary (Paul) Gilmeister, Karen (Barry) Poston, and Robert (Patricia) Roznowski. Cherished Grandfather of Eric and Matthew (Amanda) Olson, Bradley (Genevieve) Schnell, Andrew (Kate) Schley, Michelle (Jon) Szatkowski, Monique Tune Nelson (Deb Dimberg), Matthew (Randi Edwards) Radke, Nicole (Chris) King, Anna (Neal) Mumm, Eric (Patty) Poston, and great grandchildren. Further survived by brother in law, Tom Blahnik; his sister, Rose Mary (Gerald) Zambrowicz, and many other family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude (Mincheski) and John Roznowski, sister, Arlene Blahnik, and in laws, Margaret (Hayes) and Joseph Jacquart. Dan graduated from St. Mary's of the Angels grade school and for 2 years attended St. Bonaventure HS (Franciscan Seminary), he then moved to Chicago and graduated from St. Phillip's High School. From there he returned to Green Bay and graduated with a degree in accounting from Green Bay Tech. While staying in Green Bay at his uncle's home, he met the love of his life, Helen, who was the girl across the street and the rest was history. They loved to go dancing and play cards. Dan loved his polkas and taught his children how to dance. Dan's first position was at St. Vincent Hospital in the financial dept. He supervised the cognitively disabled at the Brown County Community Service for several years prior to moving to Milwaukee in 1974 as the Purchasing Director at Sacred Heart Rehab Hospital. From there he went to Froedtert Hospital until retirement. Before and after retirement, Daniel loved the outdoors where he taught his four children and grandchildren to hunt and fish from the time they could walk. Living in Lakewood, WI after retirement, he enjoyed feeding his turkeys, deer, and the many bears that visited his bird feeders. He also enjoyed camping, taking his family on many cross country trips in the family station wagon. An avid Green Bay Packer fan, he really was at the Ice Bowl! Dan was a man of inspiring Christian Faith, a devoted lay Franciscan, mass server, usher, Holy Name and St. Vincent De Paul member at every parish he belonged to. He was one of the founding parishioners of Nativity Parish in Ashwaubenon. He was also a volunteer for McCauslin Lions. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, October 19 at ST. GABRIEL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1300 Hubertus Way, Hubertus, WI at 1:00 PM with visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial and a Prayer Service will be held Thursday, October 20 at Allouez Catholic Cemetery in Green Bay at 12:00 PM with a visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the Mausoleum followed by committal at gravesite.
