Darrell Beavers, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the age of 62. He was born on July 11, 1956, in Batesville, Mississippi, the son of the late Macil and Audry Beavers. Darrell was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy during the latter part of the Vietnam War, as well as a valued employee at Pot-O-Gold in Hammond for over 12 years.

Darrell is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Sandra Beavers; four sons, Bryan Beavers (Shannon), Justin Beavers (Ashley), Joshua Beavers (Brittany), and Jerrod Beavers (Kristy); grandchildren, Jaelynn, Eli, Jaycie, Gabby, Taylor, Jaimee, Michael, and Maddox; siblings, Donald Beavers (Sue), Teresa Young (Greg), David Beavers (Connie), Patricia Atkinson (Steve), and Deloris Gross (Preston); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Master Sergeant Roy and Geraldine Vickers, and granddaughter, Peyton Elise Beavers.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St. Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 9:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Hammond, Louisiana.
