David was born on December 28, 1934 and passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017.
David was a resident of Georgetown, South Carolina at the time of his passing.
He earned an Associates degree in 1976 from Southwestern College; in 1994 received a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from the University of Biblical Studies and Seminary; and received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity in 1996 from Kingsway Christian College.
Mr. Coker was a United States Army Veteran and a retired US National Guard Chaplain.
He was married to Josephine.
A Home Going Celebration with Military Honors will be 11AM Sunday March 12 2017 at the Maryville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be Rev. Doug Amos Rev. Tim Nail Rev. Tommy Cox Elder George Blakely Elder Larry Feagin his beloved son Noel Cokerand his beloved daughter Rhonda Floyd. Interment will follow at 3:30PM in the Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery directed by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. The Coker family will receive family and friends 6-8PM Saturday evening March 11 2017 in the sanctuary of Maryville PHC.
