David was born on June 20, 1938 and passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017.

David was a resident of Scott Depot, West Virginia at the time of passing.

DK was born in Charleston on June 20, 1938 to the late Denver and Marcella Means, he attended Dunbar High School, proudly served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Muliphen as a BT3, and later retiring as a "SeaBee" from the US Naval Reserve Center in South Charleston, RCBM23.

Burial will be in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.
