David Lowell Fate, 72, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away August 8, 2016 at his home in Anthem, Arizona. He was born June 10, 1944 in Huntington to the late Robert and Iva (Paxson) Fate. He started his career in the GE apprentice program and worked there as a tool and die maker, retiring after 39 years. Surviving are his wife, Joyce (Bailey) Fate of Anthem, AZ; sons, Michael (Kimberly) Fate of Anthem, AZ and Richard (Aimee) Fate of Pineville, LA; sister, Catherine Arnold of Huntington; brothers, Rex Fate and Paul (Jeanne) Fate, both of Uniondale; and grandchildren, Zachary Fate, Alexa Fate, Brayden Fate, Kody Fate, Logan Fate, and Chloe Fate. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Fate; and granddaughter, Courtney Fate. Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 10 AM at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804. Visitation will be Monday, August 15, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
