Dave was born July 4th, 1950, in Sheridan, Wyoming to Michael and Maxine (Weber) Bocek. He was raised by Maxine and step-father Robert Brent. In 1970, Dave was honorably discharged from the Marines after serving two years during the Vietnam War. It was while attending Salina Area Tech that he met his wife Patricia Lindly in 1971. They were married on February 7, 1973 in Boise City, OK, moved to Rockford, Illinois where Dave was employed by Ingersoll Milling. In 1978 they moved to Puyallup, WA where they had two children, Max and Stefanie. Dave worked as an installation manager for Ingersoll Milling and Boeing for 36 years. Known to his friends and co-workers for his warm, outgoing and generous personality, Dave was a great story teller and loved making people laugh. Dave was also known for being passionate about his children's activities, which he was always heavily involved in. His hobbies included building and flying airplanes, cycling, competing in triathlons and walking his dogs. Dave is survived by his wife Patricia Brent; children, Max Brent and Stefanie Brokaw, son-in-law Landon Brokaw; three grandchildren Halina, Elise and Latham, two sisters Carole Bailey and Holly Conary, nephews Jeff and Calvin and niece Penny. He was preceded in death by his mother Maxine, father Michael, and step-father Robert. Military Honors will be rendered on Wed, March 29, 2017 at 1:30pm at Tahoma National Cemetery. A Celebration of his life will be Sat April 1, 2017 at 1:00pm at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup, WA. Dave was a loving and kind man, who will be missed by those he came in contact with.
