Debra A. Perkins WARWICK- Debra A. (Chappell) Perkins, 50, of 50 Pine Street, died unexpectedly at Athol Memorial Hospital on Saturday, March 20, 2010, after being stricken ill earlier at home. Born in Palmer on March 10, 1960, she was a daughter of Charles and Delene Chappell and lived in Three Rivers and Monson until moving to Orange, where she graduated from the Ralph C. Mahar Regional School in 1978. Debra was married to Clyde Perkins on August 27, 1988 and they have enjoyed over 20 years together. Debra was previously married to Howard Spofford. A self employed photographer, Debra graduated from the Hallmark Institute in Turners Falls and owned and operated her own studio, Classic Images, and did portrait and wedding photos. Debra also went back and took classes at the Athol High School Adult Education Program and became a legal secretary. Debra enjoyed collecting gem stones and jewelry, and loved traveling, having visited India 3 times, Egypt twice, the Ukraine, Mexico, and also a Disney cruise. Survivors include her husband, Clyde Perkins of Warwick; a son, Andrew Spofford of South Deerfield; a daughter, Elizabeth Chappell-Perkins of Warwick; granddaughter, Alyssah; step-grandchildren, Ryan, McKayla, Jeffree, Illayna, Dylan, Liam, Allison, Henry, Seth, Shae, Nicole, Daniel, and Felicity; her father, Charles Chappell of Tully; step-children, Sarah Perkins of Orange, Joshua Perkins and Beth Perkins, both of Turners Falls, and Abram Perkins of Springpoint, MI; a brother, Charles Chappell of Pennsylvania; sisters, Winifred Bouchard of Florida, Corinne Chappell of Tully, and Kelly Farley and her husband, Joe, of Warwick; and several nephews and nieces including Ashley Menwer whom Debra was very close to. There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Metcalf Chapel, Athol Road- Warwick Center, Warwick, MA, with Rev. Dan Dibble officiating. Interment will follow in Warwick Center Cemetery. Flowers may be sent or donations can be made to Athol Memorial Hospital, 2033 Main Street, Athol, MA 01331.
