Deira Pattee Lewis, age 40, of Kennesaw, GA., passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Deira was born on June 21, 1976 in Bozeman, Montana, a daughter to Daniel W. Wood and Janet Pattee Nolan.
Deira spent most of her adult life in Colorado. After graduating high school, she pursued her passion of caring for others by attending the Denver School of Nursing to become a registered nurse. Deira and her family moved to the Kennesaw area just a few short years ago where she would continue her nursing career with Amity Hospice. The impact she made on the people around her will live forever; not only with her family and friends but the numerous families she supported and cared for during the most difficult times of their lives. Deira had a quick wit about her, always making other laugh. Though she loved and cared for many individuals throughout her career, being the ultimate caregiver to her husband and children was her greatest accomplishment. Deira was an outstanding daughter, sister, wife and mother; she will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Along with her parents Deira is survived by her loving husband, Gregg Lewis; three beautiful children, Madasyn Elaine-Kenyon Lewis, Reagan Pattee Lewis, and Jaxon Edward Lewis; one brother, Ryan Thomas Nolan; sister, Bailie Jane Nolan; a dedicated step-father, Thomas Nolan; a dedicated step-mother, Marianne Maes; her maternal grandmother, Pattee Kenyon Williams (George); her paternal grandfather, Lloyd A. Pope (Charlotte); and paternal grandmother, Jane Nolan; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date in Colorado with her family.
