Dennis R. Hebert passed away in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on May 12, 2017 after a recent diagnosis of cancer. Dennis was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1954. He is survived by his wife, Melanie Cameron Hebert; parents, Esther Irene Nelson Hebert and David C. Hebert, Sr., brother and his wife, David C. Hebert, Jr. and Angie, and sister, Michelle R. Hebert. He is also survived by nephews Travis, Rodney and Brennan Hebert, two nieces, Amber Rachal and Elise Richard, and sister-in-law, Angela Cameron Simms. Dennis' extended family includes Melissa and Brent Miller, Ashley McMurray and John Dunlap.

Dennis was predeceased by his son Shane Hebert, brothers Kenneth D. Hebert, Rodney Lynn Hebert, Benny Leon Creel, sisters Karen Jean Hebert, and Sherry Marie Hebert and brother-in-law, James D. Simms, Sr.

Dennis graduated from LSU in 2015. To celebrate Dennis' lifelong goal, we ask that purple and gold be worn to celebrate his accomplishment. Dennis was a licensed land surveyor and was employed by the State of Louisiana DOTD as a Surveyor 5. Dennis retired as Staff Sergeant from the United States Army, Air National Guard, and Army National Guard.

Visitation and services will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, Louisiana. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 and from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery behind Seale Funeral Home.

The service will be officiated by Rev. Jacqueline King of First United Methodist Church, Denham Springs, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Dennis to a church, charity or organization of your choice. Please sign the online guestbook at www.sealefuneral.com
