Dennis R. Miller, age 72, of Bloomington, died on Wednesday at The Residence at McCormick's Creek. Born July 30, 1944 in Bloomington, he was the son of Raymond and Virginia (Baugh) Miller. He graduated from Bunker Hill High School, served in the National Guard and retired as a Fiber Optic Cable Technician from A.T. & T. after 35 years of service. He loved spending time with his family and was a member of the City Church for All Nations in Bloomington.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Kathleen "Kathy" (Tolle) Miller of Bloomington; three sons, Bruce Miller, of Bedford and Matthew Miller and Shane Ford, both of Bloomington; three daughters, Suanne Ford and Stacey Scott, both of Bloomington and Shannon Salazar, of Palm City, Florida; two brothers, Larry Miller, of Middleton, Ohio and Michael Miller, of Kokomo, one sister, Radonna Woodhouse, of Vincennes, fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Bailey Ann Miller.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 at1:00 p.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Nashville where the Brown County veterans will perform military graveside rites. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 11:00 a.m.to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Virginia Norris Orphanage, c/o the City Church for All Nations; 1200 North Russell Road; Bloomington, IN 47408.
