Delores "Dee" Casca Waters (August 11, 1930 - September 13, 2017)

Dee Waters passed away peacefully on September 13, 2017. Dee was born in Asbury Park, NJ and later moved to Miami, FL where she met her late husband Barney Waters at a high school football game. She is the daughter of Angelo and Marion Genevieve Casca. Dee is survived by her younger brother, Sonny Casca, two daughters, Vicki de Deugd and Donna Waters Young; six grandchildren, Brooke Young, Thomas David "T.D." Young, Greg de Deugd, Jody (de Deugd) Helms, Jeff de Deugd, Casey de Deugd; and three great grandchildren, Corey Sutherland, Jackson Helms, and Noah de Deugd.

Dee had a beautiful life filled with love, family, friendship, and the thing that ties them all together.FOOD. She loved cooking, playing tennis, watching football, and the Florida sunshine. Dee and Barney were the owners of the classic Italian restaurant, "The Villa Roma" in Rockledge, FL for nearly 30 years. The restaurant was the heart of their family and reflected everything that Dee and Barney cherished. The Villa Roma served delicious homemade Italian food with dishes named after all of their family members. A quote underneath a caricature drawing of Dee that hung at the Villa Roma described her perfectly as "the hostess with the mostest."

We will never forget the twinkle in her eyes and the warmth of her heart. The legacy of Dee Waters will proudly live on through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Although our hearts are broken to lose a precious mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; we are comforted to know she is at peace and has joined her husband Barney up in Heaven. We will celebrate her life the way she would want us to; all together, with delicious food and plenty of drinks, in sunny Florida.

A memorial service will be held this Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home in Merritt Island.
