PURVIS, Dolores H.
Age 83, of Tipp City, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016. She was born January 23, 1933, in Ada, Minnesota, to her parents John Schultz & Gina (Larsen) Schultz Bina. Dolores was a devoted wife, mother, gramma, great-gramma as well as a loyal friend. Her early years were spent helping her own mother raise her younger siblings. Later she met and married the love of her life, Van, and together they happily raised six children while living in North Dakota, Guam and Ohio. In addition, she took on the responsibility of Food Service Director of Tipp City Schools where she began her career in 1966 and retired after 33 years. After retirement Dolores led an active life enjoying the many activities at the YMCA and Tipp City United Methodist Church. She will be missed by all. Dolores was preceded in death by her loving husband LaVan Amble Purvis; brother George Schultz; sister Jeannette Miller. She will be missed and remembered by her children Brad & Sharon Purvis of Niceville, FL, Floyd & Eveline Purvis of Tipp City, Dan & Judy Purvis of Tipp City, Peggy & John Turner of West Milton, Joan & Ron Saunders of New Carlisle, Pam & Wayne Brockman of Saginaw, TX; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers John Schultz of Billings, MO, Kenny Schultz of Grand Forks, ND, Victor Schultz of Oakley, CA, Gerry Schultz of Wilmington, Ron Bina of Federal Way, WA. A graveside service will be held for family and friends at 10:30 AM Thursday, February 18, at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Arrangements are in care of Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton.
