Donald Eugene Sudduth, 70, of Orlando, FL passed away suddenly on October 30, 2017. He was born to the late Walter Sudduth and Leanna “Gommie” Sudduth Powers on November 7, 1946 in Indianapolis, IN. Don was raised in Indianapolis by his mother and stepfather, Daniel “Poppy” Powers. Don graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1965. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was very patriotic and wanted those around him to understand his passion for his country. While in Vietnam, he wrote letters to his soulmate, Linda Coleman Sudduth, whom he had not yet met. They exchanged letters for 6 months and met in person when he returned home. Within two weeks they were engaged and married on October 16, 1967. They shared 50 wonderful years of marriage, and were the epitome of a True Love Story. They resided with their children in Indianapolis for 35 years before retiring to Orlando, Florida in 2002. Don worked for Conrail Railroad for 34 years before his retirement in 1998. He took excellent care of his family and never put himself first or complained. Don was a perfectionist and had an impeccable work ethic. He believed if you were given a job to do, you should do it to the best of your ability while never compromising your integrity or morals. He was talented and capable to fix anything or help anyone needing it. He adored his grandbabies to whom he was “PawPaw”. He always said, “You love your kids, but there’s nothing better in the world than your grandbabies”. They were the joy of his life in addition to his wife and children. Don enjoyed vacations at the beach, Disney and other theme parks with his family. He was a thrill seeker and loved roller coasters, classic cars, racing, and Corvettes. Don was like no man his family had ever known or will know again. He was truly one of a kind with his sarcastic sense of humor, teasing, and ways he showed his love for his family. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

A dedicated husband, Dad and Paw-Paw, Don is survived by his wife, Linda Coleman Sudduth; daughter Angela “Baby Girl” Sudduth Walsh, son in-law Peter “Petey” Walsh, grandbabies Sam and Sydney; son Donald ”Donnie Boy” Sudduth II, his wife Kandi “Margaret”, grandbabies Masen and Jacksen; brother Steve Sudduth, his wife Deborah; sister Diana Soper and many nieces and nephews.
