Donald Glenn Harper, 70, peacefully passed away November 17, 2017, at his home in Denver. Don was born in St. Francis, Kansas to Nina Marie and John Lewis Harper, the youngest of the couple's four children, on October 28, 1947. When Don was six years old the Harper family moved to Loveland, Colorado where they lived a wonderful life by the original Fort Namaqua Trading Post alongside the Big Thompson River where all the kids shared many adventures. He attended schools in Loveland and graduated from Loveland High School in 1965. Don was very proud to be a veteran of the U.S. Navy having enlisted in 1965 following his graduation. He was honorably discharged on October 8th, 1968.

Don had a long career with Gates Rubber Company in Denver. After retirement from Gates, Don also worked for the City and County of Denver. He loved riding his motorcycle and was very proud to say he had ridden his bike in all 50 states. He and his wife, Lillian, traveled many places and enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life. In addition to enjoying his motorcycle, Don loved fishing with his grandson and his brother and doing anything that involved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was devoted to his family. His sense of humor will be greatly missed. He was very proud to receive his 30-year AA bronze medallion.

Don is survived by his wife, Lillian Harper, his children Darren Glenn Harper, Kyla Lynn Strong (Terry), Craig Carl Harper and stepson, Jonathan Richard LaGest; grandchildren Darin Jean Harper, Cheyenne Devin Harper, Jarod Harper Strong and his great-grandchild, Olivia Cerae Harper. He is also survived by his brother, Ed (Becky Cuney), and his sister, Jean, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Lloyd.
