Donald was born on November 25, 1939 and passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016.

Donald was a resident of Acworth, Georgia at the time of his passing.

He
graduated from Kennesaw State University and subsequently from Woodrow Wilson
College of Law.

His career included 26 years serving his country in the U.S. Navy in
active duty and as a reservist before retiring from the Navy. After leaving the Navy.

He was married to Dottie Davis Segassie.

Friends and family describe Don as the life and laughter of the party, the crazy
man, unpredictable, complicated, generous and kind to all he meets, a stranger to no one,
counselor, caregiver to friends and family with love in his heart. Don was a member of
Post 160 of the American Legion in Smyrna, GA., the Navy Fleet Reserve Association,
the National Rifle Association, and Post 5408 of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Acworth, GA.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 1:00 PM '
3:00 PM at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta. A 'Celebration of his Life' memorial
service will begin at 3:00 PM in The Carmichael chapel. Upcoming Events
