Donald R Lundell died peacefully on January 4, 2018 in Maricopa Arizona at the age of 77. He joined his eternal companion of 54 years after only 7 weeks apart. He is survived by his children, Russell Lundell (LaRayne) of Gilbert, AZ, John Lundell (Andrea) of Rockwall, TX, Suzanne Kensington (Tommy) of Maricopa, AZ, Victoria Brown (Michael) of Chandler, AZ, David Lundell (Laura) of Chandler, AZ and Robert Lundell (Alecia) of Queen Creek, AZ and his eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Alyn Peters Lundell, his father, Russell T. Lundell, mother Leola Lundell and brother Mark Lundell.

Don was born in Benjamin Utah and moved with his parents to Thatcher Arizona at the age of two, where he was raised with his 5 siblings. He is survived by 4 of those siblings, Dwight Lundell, Kirk Lundell, DeEtta Lundell and Patricia Call. Growing up Don participated in 4H and football. He served an LDS church mission at the age of 19 to the Minnesota/Canada mission, where he met his future wife and her family. The Peters family soon relocated to Arizona.

Don and Gail were married June 1, 1963 in the Mesa AZ Temple and raised 6 children in San Jose/Gilroy California area where they lived for over 22 years. They then moved to Longmont, Colorado, and later San Diego, CA and back to Northern California again before finally settling in the Phoenix, AZ Metro Area. Don got his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona and later earned his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University. He worked in the computer hardware and software industries. He started at IBM and moved on to become VP and later President of several high-tech companies. Eventually he started his own company, Knozall Systems and moved the family to Arizona.

Next to family and work, Don had great faith and served the Lord in many capacities from Missionary, Bishop, Stake President, and High Councilman. Don and Gail both loved genealogy/family history and worked hard to complete work for their ancestors.

Don is a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed. Don and Gail opened their home and family and raised many "extra" children whom they love and call their own.

His service is to be held on January 13, 2018 at 11am at the LDS Church 800 W Chandler Heights Chandler AZ 85248. He will be buried at the Valley of the Sun Cemetery at 1:30pm 10940 E Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248. All are welcome to attend to celebrate his life.
