Of Jackson, MI, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home, at the age of 86. She was the daughter of William and Marjorie (Campbell) McGowan born February 16, 1930 in Cadillac, MI. Mrs. Simons was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Eldon B., her parents, and sister, Virginia Bailey. She is survived by two children, Kerry J. (Mike) Klocke of Stockton, CA, and Kevin E. (Jan Oberla) Simons of Fairfax, VA.; two grandchildren, Ryan Klocke of Concord, CA and Megan Klocke of Eugene, OR; sister, Gloria Nelund of Onaway, MI; brother, Steve (Sharon) McGowan of Kentwood, MI; several nieces and nephews. Donna was a graduate of Cadillac High School and Jackson Business College with her Associate Degree. She worked for the Pediatric offices of Dr. Ellis Adams and Dr. Saeed Mian, retiring in 1987. She was a beloved member of the neighborhoods in which she lived. Donna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her hummingbirds. Mrs. Simons was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where services will be on Thursday, December 1, 11:00 A.M., Reverend Eric Ekong and Reverend Michael Hanson officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. Contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church 122 W. Wesley Jackson, MI 49201 or Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home 2250 Kingsbrooke Drive, Jackson, MI 49202

Visitation at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson, Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and at the church Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
