In memory of Donna Vermillion (Bell)

Donna L. Vermillion (Bell) 88, of Scottsdale, Arizona died peacefully on her birthday December 31, 2017. She was born in Powhattan, Kansas and was the daughter of Ralph and Josephine Bell who preceded her death. Donna attended Sabetha Schools and graduated from Sabetha High School in 1947.

She was united in marriage to Leo R. Vermillion September 26, 1948 who preceded her in death on May 12th, 2004. Two sons were born to this union.

Surviving are her three sisters, Dortha Wikle of Sabetha, Kansas, Dora Davis of Apache Junction, Arizona, Betty Hoffman of Clarinda, lowa and one brother Art Bell of St. Joseph, Missouri. Brother Raymond Bell preceded her in his death.

Sons, Terry Vermillion (Sandina) of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Roger Vermillion (Barbara) of Scottsdale, Arizona. Four granddaughters, Kelsey Ashe (J.R.), Haley Fraser (Paul), Tamra Vermillion, Traci Vermilion and 4 great grandchildren.

Donna was a member of the Security Christian Church of Security Colorado. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary a Cub Scout leader, and volunteer Little League coach for baseball. Donna worked the majority of her life for Walter Drake and Sons until her retirement, as well as a fulltime wife and mother.

During her retirement years in Sunrise RV Park she was the golf league director for the resort as well as teaching water aerobics. Country western was her favorite music for dancing.

Services will be held April 20th at 10:00 am at Memorial Gardens Chapel in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Academy Blvd at Airport Road.
