Dorothy "Dottie" Oslin, 81, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017. A native of Anniston, Alabama, she has been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 43 years.
She was employed as Executive Director of TREES, Inc. and was a member of Second Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Signal Mountain and Lookout Valley Chapters. She was also the First Lady of Alhambra Shrines in 2010.
She was the daughter of the late Ray and Pauline Scott and was also preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Crane Phillips; sister Virginia Scott
Survivors include her loving husband, Ron Oslin; three grandchildren, Tyler, Haley and Morgan Phillips; step-son Dr. Bryan (Brenda) Oslin, Nashville, TN; step-daughter, Karen Just, Bluffton, SC; four step-grandchildren, Madison and Isabella, Kristen (Will), Birmingham, AL and Bryan Jackson, New York, NY and one step-great-grandson, Brantly; sister, Carole Scott Henderson, Anniston, AL; brother Donald Scott, Gadsden, AL; several nieces and nephews.
An Order of the Eastern Star service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Dr. Michael Phoenix officiating for both Dottie and her daughter Sharon.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday before the service at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road.
