Dorothy was born on October 12, 1923 to Emilie Brekke and Robert Paul in Seattle and died September 15, 2017 in Anacortes. Dorothy grew up in Interbay and graduated from Queen Anne High School and attended Seattle Pacific University studying music. She met her husband Lowell and married in 1943, raising one daughter and three sons in Lake Forest Park.

She loved life and would sing, dance and play her harmonica at the drop of a hat; loved telling jokes and was still beautiful and vibrant at 93. She was a member of the American Slavic Women's Club and the Norwegian Ladies' Chorus. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by husband, Lowell and son, Dan. Survivors include: daughter, Kristi; sons: Paul (Leola) and Terry; four grandchildren: Nick, Leah, Per Kefgen and Julia Raymond; sister: Caryl Clark and cousins: Joyce Nelson, Marilyn Freitag and Jean Thornsbury.

Dorothy had a special interest in astronomy and would like the fact that she and the spacecraft Cassini ended their journey together. A Celebration of her life will be held later in October, in Anacortes.
