MORRIS, Dorothy Lee, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 12, 2017. She leaves behind three children, Patricia Evans (Ed), Pam Miles, and Lewis Morris (Debbie); six grandchildren, Heather Beams, Georgia Drought, Andrew Evans, Whitney Nordstrom, Lee Morris, and Evan Miles; and five great grandchildren, Josh Beams, Caleb Beams, Madison Drought, Connor Drought, and Ella Morris. She was preceded in death by her husband Lemuel V Morris; parents Fred and Florence Wilson; and sister Willa Wilson Crafton.

Dot, Mom, Squats (don’t ask!), Granny Dot – she was many things to many people, touching so many lives over her 91-year journey. She was industrious, an avid homemaker, creative, fearlessly congenial who never met a stranger. She was both assertive and reserved with the wisdom to know the difference. She loved her children, adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a “Landmark” influence in the lives of us all.

Her love for the Lord was evident by her faith and her service to others. She believed in Gods sovereignty, experienced His mercy, and lived by His grace. Now, in His very presence, she enjoys a perfect rest, a perfect peace, and a perfect doxology!

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will take place Saturday March 11 at 11:00 AM at Garden of Memories Cemetery, graveside.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Ramon Chang Adult Family Care Home, 2607 W Humphrey Street, Tampa, FL, 33614.
