Dorothy M. Lynch of Thornton, Colorado passed away January 9, 2018 in Thornton. She was born June 20, 1929 in Garfield, New Jersey to Dominick and Mary (DiFabbio) DeFeo. She is survived by her 2 daughters Linda (Steve) Bannister of Thornton, Colorado and Lois Hunter of Aurora, Colorado; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy is preceded in death by her son William P. Lynch and her husband William "Bill" P. Lynch. Bill passed away August 13, 2014. She and Bill were married September 20, 1952. She was a homemaker and clerical worker all her life. She and Bill ran and managed "Bill's Garage" in New Jersey from 1957 - 1984 when they packed up and moved to Colorado to be with their children and grandchildren. Bill and Dorothy ran their own mechanics business prior to their retirement. Dorothy worked with her many friends as a Demonstrator for King Soopers. She lived at The Villas at Sunny Acres for over 9 years and made many friends and had many accomplishments during that time. She was President of the Resident Council and served high positions on many committees making positive decisions for the residents. She was honored with many certificates for her volunteer work. She touched the hearts of many people in her 9 years as a resident. Dorothy was an avid craftswoman. She loved working with ceramics, hook rugs, embroidery, and sewing but was most famous for her Italian cooking. She was an avid gardener for many years in New Jersey and Colorado. Dorothy was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She had a great sense of humor, enjoyed life and had a never-ending love for her family and friends. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.
