Dorothy Mae Ross was born on July 11, 1925 in Brookfield, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Emerson Blunt and Lilly Mae (Lambert) Blunt, also from Brookfield.



Wilber and Dorothy moved to Windsor, Missouri on January 1, 1953. Dorothy worked as a payroll clerk at the Windsor International Shoe Factory for 30 years. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church, Windsor.



She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grand-mother, and great grand-mother. She loved spending time with family and friends.



In addition to her husband, Wilber, of the home, she is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Michael) Murtha, Kansas City, Missouri; a son, Steve (Deanna) Ross, Layton, Utah; seven grand-children; and 25 great grand-children.



Dorothy was preceded in death by two brothers, Orville and Wesley Blunt; and a sister, Viola Morton.



On the evening of November 1, 2017 surrounded by her family, at the age of 92, Dorothy passed away at St. Luke’s Hospice House.



Graveside services will be held at a later date at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
