Dorothy Zavadil (Halliburton)

Dorothy Marie Halliburton was born November 17, 1930 in Gonzales County, Texas to the late J.B & Carrie Latham Halliburton of Wealder, Texas. She peacefully passed away after 86 years on January 16th, 2017 in Pasadena, Texas.

Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to so many who knew her.

She was also a faithful servant to her Lord and attended Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.

She is survived by sons Robert L.“Pancho” Zavadil of Highlands, Texas and Kenneth W. Zavadil, Sr. of New Caney, Texas. Grandchildren, Kenneth W. Zavadil, Jr & wife Connie of La Porte, Texas and John W. “Jay” Zavadil & wife Skye of Duson, Louisiana. Great grandchildren, Greg, Hannah, Weston, Josef and Lauren. Sister, June Carley & husband Bud of Harwood, Texas and numerous nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years Edwin “Ed” Zavadil, and her parents J.B. & Carrie Halliburton. Sisters, Viola Johnson, Mae Halliburton, Loney Patton, Opal Hargrave, Jewel Halliburton and Joyce Halliburton. Brothers, Johnie Halliburton, Ray Halliburton, J.C. Halliburton and J.B. Halliburton, Jr. Grandchildren, William Matthew “ Matt” Schmaker and Kassie Mae Zavadil.

Funeral services will be held on Friday January 20th, 2017 at 12:30pm at the Pasadena Funeral Chapel in Pasadena, Texas with viewing on Thursday January 19th, 2017 from 5-8pm. Graveside service will be at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas, following the funeral service. Ron Richter officiating.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kenneth W. Zavadil, Jr., John W. “Jay” Zavadil and nephews Phil Carley, Jeff Carley, Johnie Halliburton, Bobby Halliburton and Wayne Johnson.

The family would like to send a special thanks and appreciation to her hairdresser Mary Lou Garcia, who kept Dorothy looking wonderful for her time visiting family and going to church. Also a deep love and heartfelt gratitude to all of the staff of the Pasadena Care Center who were not only her caretakers, but her friends during her time of residency.
