Dorothy May Seligman, 82, died peacefully on February 15, 2017 at Hospice of the Chesapeake’s Rebecca Fortney Care Center in Pasadena. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 1, 1934 to the late Mildred and Frank Fried. She attended Glen Burnie High School. Dorothy was a career homemaker who enjoyed needlepoint and spending time with her family especially grandchildren and extended family members.





Dorothy was involved in the community and the Boy Scouts of America earning the Silver Fawn Award. She was an active member of Saint John Neumann Catholic Church and the first female Eucharistic Minister as well as a member of the Ranger Rosary.



Dorothy is survived by her husband of 62 years Albert Harvey Seligman, her three children Stephen Seligman and his wife Cordelia of Millersville, Francis Seligman and his girlfriend Kim of Ocean City, Christopher Seligman and his wife Kathy of Eastport; three sisters Frances Brannock of Ellicott City, Mildred Hemstetter of Kent Island, Patricia Blockston and her husband Jim of Halethorpe; a brother Frank Fried and his wife Darnell of Pasadena; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.



The family will receive visitors at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home 147 Duke of Gloucester Street Annapolis, MD 21401 on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church 620 Bestgate Road Annapolis, MD 21401 on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Interment in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
