Douglas was born on February 19, 1920 and passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

Douglas was a resident of Wayland, Massachusetts at the time of his passing.

He was a graduate of Brighton High School.

In 1944, he volunteered and enlisted in the United States Army and served during World War II as a Private First Class at the Battle of the Bulge to the Czechoslovakia border and saw combat with the European African Middle Eastern Theatre and in Central Europe.

Visitations will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 on at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland, His funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 10:30 am at the Veteran National Cemetery in Bourne.

In lieu of flowers, Douglas' family request that donations in his memory be sent to Trinitarian Congregational Church Mission Fund, 53 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA 01778 John C. Bryant Funeral Home 56 Pemberton Road Wayland, MA USA 01778 508-653-4220 .
