Douglas was born on September 13, 1962 and passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017.

Douglas was a resident of Edisto Beach, South Carolina at the time of passing.

He received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Troy University and retired after 28 years from the Savannah River Site where he worked in vulnerability assessment.

Mr. Smith served his country for six years in the United States Navy, serving aboard the USS Bowen.

A memorial service will be held at 6 o'clock, Thursday evening, August 10, 2017, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Memorial Service at the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, Walterboro Chapel at 6:00 PM on August 10, 2017. August 10, 2017 6:00 PM Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, Walterboro Chapel 1193 Bells Highway Walterboro, SC 29488 Memorial Service at the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, Walterboro Chapel at 6:00 PM on August 10, 2017.
