Earl C. Frisk, 86, of Blencoe, Iowa, died Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Denison Care Center in Denison, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Blencoe United Church of Christ in Blencoe with Pastor Linda Boggs, officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Sioux Cemetery in Little Sioux, Iowa. Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa, with a prayer service at 6:30 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.
Earl Clayton was born March 12, 1929, in rural Blencoe, the son of Edward and Emma (Johnson) Frisk. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in Blencoe. He graduated from Blencoe High School in 1947.
Earl and Priscilla Crom were united in marriage on February 24, 1951, in Blencoe. To this union, four children were born.
He was a lifetime farmer who loved the land. In addition to this, he worked in welding for Kelly Ryan in Blair, Nebraska, and Westendorf Manufacturing in Onawa, Iowa.
He enjoyed his family, and spent a lot of time with his grandchildren. He liked playing cards and going to Monday morning coffee in Blencoe after retiring in 2002. He attended the Blencoe United Church of Christ in Blencoe.
Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Frisk of Blencoe, IA; three daughters, Joni (Jerry) Houston of Dunlap, IA, Connie Harper and special friend Alan Drake of Comstock, NE, and Julie (Paul) Pedersen of Somerville, AL; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Emma Frisk; his son, Charles Earl Frisk; three brothers, John Frisk, his twin Irvin Frisk, and Leo Frisk; one sister, Maxine Caldwell; and a son-in-law, Jerry Harper.
