Edmund "Ed" Elno Mastin, 86, passed peacefully to his Heavenly Home on January 21, 2017. Ed was born in Rochester, NY, on December 22, 1930 to the late Carlton W. and Effie Boyd Mastin. He leaves behind his loving wife Anne P. Mastin, 2 sons, David L. Mastin and wife Lisa, Mark J. Mastin and wife Susie, and grandson, Daniel McDonald, brother, William C. Mastin and wife Vickie of Nunda, NY; three sisters, Anita White of Wayland, NY; Vera Owens and husband, Donald of Fairport, NY; Evelyn Pixley of Fuquay Varina, NC, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Gardner White of Wayland, NY and Gary Pixley of Wilmington, NC.

Ed graduated from Madison High School in 1948, was employed by Taylor Heating Inc. for about one year. Ed then served in the US Navy from 1951-1954 before going back to work for Taylor Heating, Inc.

In 1976 Ed and his family moved to Wilmington, NC and he worked for Cannon Heating and Air. In 1979 Ed moved to Raleigh to take a position with Carolina Power and Light now Duke Energy. Ed retired in July 1997. He went on to teach electronics, heating and air for Wake Technical Community College for several years.

Ed served the Lord faithfully since he accepted the Lord as his Savior in 1963. He has served faithfully in each of the Nazarene churches he attended, Calvary Church, Rochester, NY; Wilmington Church, Wilmington, NC; Raleigh First, Raleigh, NC and Penny Road Church, Raleigh, NC.

A Funeral Service will be held 11am Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Penny Road Church of the Nazarene, 8509 Penny Road, Raleigh, NC 27606. The family will receive friend 9:30 - 11am prior to the service at the church.
