Edward Lee Tolliver, 91, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord September 30, 2017 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a short illness.



Edward was born September 5, 1926 in Kayford to the late Lee and Lulu Tolliver.



Edward “Bobby” was a retired welder from FMC. He was a member of Oakridge Bible Church and Bethany Baptist Church. He served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Seaman Second Class.



Preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Louise Tolliver; and sisters, Mary “Maggie” Smith and Francis Smith.



He is survived by his wife, Berniece Foster Tolliver; children, Stephen Tolliver (Tina) of Sommerton, South Carolina, Karen Schimmel (Bill) of Mineral Wells, and Randall Tolliver (Jeanne) of Charleston; grandchildren, Sean Tolliver, Todd Schimmel, Sarah Tolliver, Brandon Schimmel, Devin Tolliver, Jordan Tolliver and Kelsey Tolliver; seven great-grandchildren, Gabriel Schimmel, Brendan Bentley, Addyson Schimmel, Delaney Schimmel, Lillian Schimmel, Anabelle Tolliver and Lincoln Schimmel; and several nieces and nephews who were close to him.



Service will be at 1pm Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV 25313 with Rev. Rodney Smith and Rev. David Keeney officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.



A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00am Wednesday at the funeral home.
