Eileen M. Haller, 88, of Hamilton Square, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018, with her family by her side, at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton, NJ. Born in Trenton, Mrs. Haller was a longtime resident of Hamilton Square. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School, Class of 1947. Eileen’s career began at the N.J. Office of Legislative Services and she retired as a legal secretary from the State of N.J., Division of Criminal Justice in 1991. She was a lifetime member of the Parish of Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony, where she was a member of the Rosary-Altar Society. She was a member of the Sons and Daughters of Erin, the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal, and a past secretary of H.E.L.P. (Hamilton Energetic Leisure People). Eileen enjoyed spending time with her family, bus trips to Atlantic City, playing BINGO, water aerobics, and was a talented knitter. Predeceased by her parents, William J. and Margaret J. (Devine) Halloran; her brothers and sister, William J., Jr., Charles J., and Mary Elizabeth Halloran; she is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, John G. Haller; her son and daughter-in-law, John W. and Mary T. Haller; her daughter, Kathleen M. Haller; her grandson, Ryan J. Haller, who was the light of her life; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Halloran, and Marion and Jerome Baranosky; several nieces and nephews, many cousins, and several close friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 626 S. Olden Ave., Hamilton, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hamilton, NJ. Per Eileen’s wishes, there will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Eileen’s memory to COPD Foundation: 3300 Ponce De Leon Blvd., Miami, FL 33134 or at: donate@copdfoundation.org. .
