Eileen Holton Semple, 77, of Herndon, VA, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Plainfield, NJ, Mrs. Semple was a lifelong resident of Metuchen. She graduated from St. Peter's High School in New Brunswick and All Souls Nursing School in Morristown. Prior to her retirement she was a registered nurse at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. Mrs. Semple was a lifelong communicant of St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen. Bonnie, as her friends knew her, always looked forward to family gatherings and spending time with her many nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren. She was a lover of people, and able to make friends anywhere she went. Bonnie's grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved spending time at the beach and watching the ocean. She also loved trips to Atlantic City and playing slot machines. Predeceased by her parents, Catherine and James S. Holton; her brother, James T. Holton and her sister, Kathleen Buist; she is survived by her husband, Richard F. Semple; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Kelly Kayser Semple of Port Orange, Fl; her daughter and son-in-law, Maureen C. and Charles "Josh" Anderson of Herndon, Va and her five grandchildren, Emmalee and Elizabeth Semple and Charlie, Trevor and Henry Anderson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul RC Church, 214 Nassau St., Princeton, NJ 08542. Entombment will follow at the Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum in Jamesburg, NJ. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 North Main Street, Cranbury, NJ. Memorial donations may be made to the Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital through the Deborah Hospital Foundation 212 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
