Eileen V. Helm, Age 70, of Hurst, Tex. passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband Jere C. Helm; son, Jefferson C. Helm; parents, Carl and Gwandelene Engel and sister, Mariann Langley.

She is survived by her son, Jay C. Helm and his wife Roshonda; grandchildren, Nicholas B. Johnson and Jace C. Helm; siblings, Patricia Douglas, Roberta Ludolph and husband Lynn, Richard Engel and wife Gwen, and Tommy Engel and wife Kathy; brother-in-law Frank Langley and sister-in-law and beloved friend, Carol Ford. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Eileen was born in Buffalo, New York and moved to Texas when she was five years old. She was a proud Richland Rebel, a Dixie Belle and a Girl Scout. Eileen loved bowling, camping, gambling at WinStar, motorcycles and dachshunds. She was straight forward, loved a good joke, and wasn’t extravagant. Eileen was a die-hard Rangers Fan. More important than all that was her love of her family. She loved family outings, and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a large lighthouse collection and Nicholas summed up her penguin collection best with a common phrase of “Gran-mah loves penguins.” She would finish conversations with Jace with their own special game of “Love you more.” She was loved and will be missed by all.
