COLUMBIA - Graveside service for Grace Eleanor Gaines Miller, 86, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2012, in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mrs. Miller, resident of S.C. Episcopal Home at Still Hopes, died Thursday, March 29, 2012. Born in Liberty, she was a daughter of the late Barnet P. and Grace Iola Ridgeway Gaines. A member of Trenholm Road United Methodist Church, she was an artist who enjoyed oil painting and playing the piano. When she was younger, she was active in the S.C. Republican Party in the Upstate.
Surviving are her sons, William "Bill" Miller (Pat) of Mills River, N.C., Jon Michael Miller (Debbie) of West Columbia; sister, Doris Merck (Hugh) of Columbia; grandchildren, Lindsey Baire (Tom), Janice Livingston, Laura Miller, Charles Miller; nephew, Phillip Gaines; nieces, Virginia Senn, Gloria LeSueur, Cathy Tyson and Cindi Stone. She was predeceased by her husband, Billy "Bill" Morton Miller; brother, Samuel "Sam" P. Gaines; and daughter, Sherri Miller.
