Eleanor Wolfe Conaty, 90, of Huntington, died Friday, July 22 in St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born October 25, 1925 in Richmond, Va. A daughter of the late William Henry and Kathryn J. Griffin Wolfe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Thomas J. Conaty, MD; a son, Thomas J. Conaty Jr. and a brother, William H. Wolfe Jr. She was a graduate of Pan-American Business College in Richmond, a member and past president of the Cabell County Medical Auxiliary, a member of Junior League of Huntington and the Jr. League Garden Club, volunteer at St. Mary’s Medical Center and St. Joseph School boards. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters and three sons; Mary Kathryn Leicht (Jack), Anne Conaty Selvaggi (Ken), Michael Griffin Conaty (Ann Marie), Paul Joseph Conaty (Kitty) and Brian Patrick Conaty; 24 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren with another on the way and a sister, Madelyn Wolfe Stumpf. Funeral Liturgy will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Dean Borgmeyer and Monsignor Lawrence Luciana, Celebrants. Interment will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. Friends may call Friday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff and members of the Homestead at Genesis, who took such wonderful care of their mother and grandmother. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
