Elizabeth Jennings Beth died at her home in Denham Springs, Louisiana on Monday, September 11, 2017. She was born in Grand Haven, Michigan on March 17, 1958. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Friday, Sept. 15, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will resume at Luke 10:27 Church, Denham Springs, from 2 p.m. until service at 4 p.m. She is survived by her life partner of 28 years, Denise Bouvier; her son and daughter-in-law, Blake and Kelly Jennings and her three precious granddaughters, Emily, Claire and Charlotte Jennings; in-laws, Maurice and Carolyn Bouvier; brothers-in-law, Joey Douglas, Maurice Bouvier (Melissa), Tom Bouvier and Paul Bouvier; nieces and nephews, Dusty Davison (Johnny), Megan and Samantha Douglas, Andrea, Nicholas, Rebekah, Joanna, Joshua and Rachel Bouvier; great nieces and nephews, Alexis, Noah, Carter and BreLeigh Davison and Audrey Holbus. Very dear and special friend Kathy Shepherd. She is preceded in death by her son, Steven Jennings; her parents, James Nelson and Patricia Landry; her sister, Vicki Douglas; and her husband, Terry Jennings. Beth worked as a registered nurse at Earl K. Long Hospital until the day it closed. She then worked for Generations Hospice, as she had promised God she would one day work as a hospice nurse in order to give back for the kindness shown to her father at the end of his life. Upon retirement, she promised to slow down - HA!! Beth had a love for life that was shadowed only by the love she had for her family and friends. Her family was her world and her friends were the sun in that world. She woke up every day with a song in her heart, the readiness to do more work in one day than three people and the compassion to shower endlessly on those she loved. She had a very strong faith in God that carried her through many heartaches. Though it is certain she was not ready to leave us, she always talked about the day she would go to heaven and the joyous reunion she would have with her son, Steven. She will be missed beyond measure, but the reunion with her in heaven will be beyond compare.
