On the morning of November 2, 2013, Elizabeth passed away peacefully of natural causes. Elizabeth lived with her daughter in Mount Pleasant, SC and was surrounded by her daughter and two grandchildren at the time of her passing. Elizabeth was 76 years old. Elizabeth formerly lived in Forrest City for most of her life.

Elizabeth Lucas was born May 9, 1937 in the town of Palestine, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Dick Gore and Maxie Halbert Gore.

Elizabeth is survived by one daughter, Tina Marie Hutchinson, of Mount Pleasant, SC, two sons, David Michael Sampley of Pittsfield, IL and Lawrence Ray Lippman, of Memphis, TN, and seven grandchildren, Grace, Patrick, Jimmy, Kathleen, Matthew, Brandon and Tyler, two brothers, Buddy Gore of Forrest City, Clinton Gore of Osceola, four sisters, Jean Parker and Van Compton of Little Rock, Joyce Gore of Conway, and Helen Devazier of Batesville.

Elizabeth was a member of the Church of Christ, an avid plant grower, a domestic goddess, master craftmaker and devoted grandmother.

Services for Elizabeth will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00pm Wednesday, with burial in Bell Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, beginning at 1:00pm, until the time of service.

We ask that in remembrance of Elizabeth, that live plants be sent instead of flowers or that a donation be made in her honor to Arkansas Children's Hospital. Visit online registry at stevensfuneralhome.net. Under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
