Elizabeth Hannah Vain Bollinger, also known as Betty, Mom, and Nanny, was 79 years old and lived in Cape Coral, Florida. She went to her heavenly home on September 13, 2016. She fought a short battle with leukemia. Betty was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 28, 1936 to Elizabeth and Joseph Vain. She had two brothers; the late Joe Vain (her twin who preceded her in death), and Jake Vain (sister in law, Kathy). Betty married the love of her life, Bob Bollinger, on April 19, 1958. The two would have a family of five. Her children include Carol Rinko (son in law Bob), Liz Bollinger, Mary Albertson (son in law Jim), the late Bobby Bollinger (who is with her in heaven), and Jim Bollinger. She was blessed with six grandchildren; Kris Bollinger (April), John Christensen (Mandie), Katelyn Albertson, Jake Stover, Kimmy Albertson, and Bobby Rinko, III. More blessings followed with three great-grandchildren; Mylah Christensen, Connor Bollinger, Cameron Bollinger, and one on the way. She was a member of Clayton Baptist Church, where she served in the kitchen and was involved in women and children's ministries. After a move to Florida, Betty became a member of the McGregor Baptist Church. She and her husband loved to spend their time with their Sunday School class, the Joyful Followers. Betty's life was full of many, many friends and relatives. Betty was blessed to visit many places throughout the world; traveling to Europe, Israel, and most of the U.S. Betty's generosity and kindness to others was private and we know she will receive many crowns in heaven. Betty loved to read. Her favorite books were about the Amish by Beverly Lewis. She loved the Walton's and loved the Gaither's music. Mostly, Betty loved and adored her husband, Bob, and their family. We will be celebrating her life on September 18, 2016 at the McGregor Baptist Church. The Service to celebrate her life will start at 1:30PM. A grave side service will be held in New Jersey on a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lifeline Family Center, Inc. 907 SE 5th Avenue, Cape Coral, FL 33990. FAITH, HOPE and LOVE.
